Job summary

ARCO a Family of Construction Companies in Omaha, NE seeks a motivated Project Manager Intern to support summer project work and learn from experienced PMs. You will assist with estimating, scheduling, design review, subcontracts, and permitting on active design-build projects.

You’ll gain real-world experience, develop strong communication skills, and have opportunities toward full-time roles as you contribute to project success.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a Civil/Mechanical/Architectural or Construction Management bachelor’s degree program.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Previous internship or co-op construction experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Estimating – describe project proposals and assign dollar values.
• Scheduling – create working timelines for subcontractors to meet deadlines.
• Design meetings – attend meetings with owner and team to understand proposals.
• Buyout – issue bid instructions, schedule, and drawings to subs and evaluate proposals.
• Permitting – complete permit forms and submit with drawings and fees for approvals.
• Shop drawing and submittal review – circulate to PM and coordinate material orders.
• Billing – manage subcontracts, change orders, pay requests and pay applications.
• Job site visits – accompany PM to ensure projects run smoothly.
