ARCO National Construction Company in Bellevue, WA is seeking a motivated Project Manager Intern to join our team this summer. The role offers hands-on experience assisting project managers with estimating, scheduling, design meetings, buyout, permitting, and site visits.

You will work with owners and team members to understand proposals, gain real-world exposure, and explore a potential full-time path after graduation.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Civil/Mechanical/Architectural or Construction Management Bachelor’s degree program.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.
• Previous internship or co-op construction experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Estimating project proposals and assigning dollar values to projects.
• Scheduling timelines for subcontractors/trades to complete the project on time.
• Attend design meetings with owner and team to understand proposals from engineers and architects.
• Send bid instructions, schedule and drawings to subcontractors; evaluate proposals.
• Fill out permit forms and submit with drawings and fees; await approvals.
• Review shop drawings and submittals with PM; coordinate material ordering.
• Assist with billing: subcontracts, change orders, pay requests, and pay applications.
• Visit job sites with PM to ensure smooth project execution.

Education

Civil/Mechanical/Architectural/Construction Management Bachelor's degree

GPA 3.0/4.0 or higher

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong work ethic
