Job summary

Harris Rochester, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager Intern for Summer 2027 to gain on-the-job experience in the construction industry.

You will turn classroom lessons into real-life skills and be involved in pre-job estimating, contracts, permits, safety, material tracking, and project closeout. You will read construction documents, apply math and analytical thinking, and develop strong interpersonal and written communication skills while collaborating with field personnel and project teams.

Qualifications

• Be a current student pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Strong math and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Pre-Job estimating and contracts.
• Support permits, insurance certificates and safety processes.
• Track materials, equipment and field personnel; assist with productivity.
• Assist with change order submittals and tracking.
• Support project closeout and creation of O&M manuals.
