Job summary

ARCO National Holdings is seeking a motivated Project Manager Intern for the Irvine, CA area. The role supports estimators, schedulers, and design meetings, gaining hands-on experience across permitting, buyout, submittals, and site visits.

You will work with project teams to understand proposals, manage timelines, and assist with billing and procurement, with a pathway to full-time opportunities upon graduation.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Civil/Mech/Arch or Construction Management bachelor’s program.
• GPA minimum 3.0/4.0.
• Previous internship or co-op construction experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Estimating – Describing project proposals and assigning dollar values to the projects.
• Scheduling – Creating a working timeline for subcontractors/trades to complete the project on time.
• Design meetings – Attend design meetings with owner and team to understand proposals from engineers and architects.
• Buyout – Send bid instructions, schedule and drawings, receive proposals, and award subcontracts.
• Permitting – Fill out permit forms and submit with drawings and fees for approvals.
• Shop drawing/submittal review – Receive submittals, review and communicate sequencing to subcontractors.
• Billing – Manage subcontracts, change orders, pay requests and pay applications.
• Job site visits – Visit sites with PM to ensure project runs smoothly.
