Job summary

ARCO National Construction Company is seeking a Project Manager Intern to join our team and assist with estimating, scheduling, design meetings, buyout, permitting, submittals, billing, and site visits.

You will work under seasoned project managers, gain real-world construction experience, and have the opportunity to move into a full-time role after graduation. Housing stipend and a path to long-term employment are available.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Civil/Mechanical/Architectural or Construction Management bachelor’s degree program.
• Minimum GPA 3.0 out of 4.0.
• Previous internship or co-op construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Estimating – Describe project proposals and assign dollar values.
• Scheduling – Create a working timeline for subcontractors/trades to complete the project on time.
• Design meetings – Attend design meetings with owner and team to understand design proposals from engineers and architects.
• Buyout – Send bid instructions, schedule, and drawings to subcontractors; evaluate proposals and award subcontracts.
• Permitting – Fill out permit forms, submit with drawings/fees, and wait for approvals.
• Shop drawing/submittal review – Coordinate drawing/submittal review and communicate to subcontractors.
• Billing – Process subcontracts, change orders, pay requests, and pay applications.
• Job site visits – Tour site with PM to ensure smooth progress.
