Job summary

ARCO National Holdings is seeking an intern for the summer to assist Project Managers in estimating, scheduling, design meetings, buyout, permitting, and site visits. You will process shop drawings, review submittals, and help with billing and pay applications.

Get hands-on experience across the project lifecycle, with housing stipend and potential path to full-time. Candidates should be enrolled in a construction-related bachelor’s program with a 3.0 GPA or higher.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Civil/Mechanical/Architectural or Construction Management bachelor’s degree program.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.
• Previous internship or co-op construction experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Assist PMs with estimating by describing project proposals and assigning dollar values.
• Support scheduling by creating working timelines for subcontractors and trades.
• Attend design meetings with owner and team to understand proposals.
• Assist with buyout: issue bid instructions, schedule, and drawings; evaluate proposals.
• Help with permitting: fill forms, submit drawings and fees, await approvals.
• Review shop drawings and submittals; coordinate orders for materials.
• Assist with billing: subcontracts, change orders, pay requests, and pay apps.
• Visit job sites with PM to ensure projects run smoothly.
