Job summary

EMCOR Services Scalise Industries is seeking a Payroll Specialist responsible for payroll processing and related HR administration. You will manage new hire data, time records, and weekly payroll entries, ensuring timely submission and accurate classification under CBAs.

The role requires attention to confidentiality and collaboration with HR and finance. Ideal candidates have at least 3 years in payroll, with strong Excel/Outlook/Word skills and familiarity with COINS ERP+.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in payroll, preferably with union contractors.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Extreme attention to detail and ability to handle confidential data.
• Knowledge of federal, state and city payroll regulations is a plus.
• Experience with COINS ERP+ software is a plus and construction experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Enter new hire data, pay rate changes, and status changes in the payroll system.
• Collect time records and enter data in COINS ERP+ weekly and accurately.
• Review payroll data before submission for approval by managers.
• Submit to Corporate for processing and final approval by Controller or CFO.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing data.
• Process payroll reports and monthly union reports; handle weekly duties.
• Run labor reports and manage PTO classifications and approvals.
• Set up union rates by classification with CBAs in COINS ERP+.
• Maintain payroll security and provide data for audits; assist HR.
