Job summary

Colas Construction, Inc. is seeking a qualified Payroll Administrator to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time, and to maintain audit-ready payroll records.

The role supports multiple entities, processes union and non-union payroll, and ensures compliance with wage determinations and regulatory requirements. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, this position coordinates with HRIS and handles payroll inquiries, while maintaining confidentiality and security of payroll data on site in

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on payroll processing or administration experience.
• Experience with a payroll, HRIS, or timekeeping system.
• Preferred: construction payroll experience, including union payroll, prevailing wage, certified payroll, or trust reporting.
• Preferred: multi-state and multi-entity payroll, UKG Ready experience, and payroll audit support.
• Preferred: bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and on schedule for union and non-union employees.
• Review and resolve timekeeping exceptions before payroll is finalized.
• Maintain employee payroll records with documented authorizations.
• Administer garnishments, levies, and other payroll deductions.
• Prepare certified payroll reports and contract-required labor reports.
