American Contracting and Environmental Services is seeking a Payroll Coordinator to manage comprehensive payroll processes for employees, subcontractors, and vendors. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with payroll software, timekeeping systems, and collaboration with HR and Finance to maintain compliant payroll

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with four years of payroll experience or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of federal/state/local wage laws and payroll regulations
• Experience with payroll software and timekeeping systems

Responsibilities

• Oversee payroll processing for employees, subcontractors, and vendors in compliance with wage laws and company policies
• Manage timekeeping systems and resolve discrepancies in time records
• Determine and apply various wage rates including prevailing, union, overtime, and differential pay
• Enter and verify payroll data, timesheets, hours, bonuses, and deductions for accuracy
• Ensure compliance with payroll taxes and file payroll tax reports, maintain audit-ready records
• Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolve pay discrepancies
• Coordinate with HR and Finance to align payroll with HR data and benefits
