Job summary

EMCOR Services Scalise Industries seeks a Payroll Specialist who is primarily responsible for all tasks relating to payroll processing and secondarily responsible for administrative tasks, as assigned, for Human Resources. The role involves entering new hire data, collecting time records, and ensuring accurate weekly payroll processing while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with CBAs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years in payroll, preferably in construction with union contractors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Extreme attention to detail and ability to handle confidential data.
  • Experience with COINS ERP+ software is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of the construction industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Enter all new hire information, pay rate changes, and status changes in the payroll system.
  • Collect time records and enter data into the payroll processing system weekly.
  • Review payroll data before submitting for approval to managers.
  • Process and finalize payroll with Corporate final approval.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing data.
  • Process monthly Union reports and Certified Payroll reports weekly.
  • Produce payroll reports and assist in HR duties as assigned.
