Jobot is seeking a payroll specialist for a well-established construction client in the region. You will process payroll for hourly and salaried employees, ensure accurate wages, and manage multi-state compliance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years payroll experience, ideally within construction or a similar industry.
• Experience with multi-state payroll processing
• Familiarity with certified payroll and/or prevailing wage is a plus
• Proficiency in payroll systems such as ADP, Paychex, or similar

Responsibilities

• Process weekly and biweekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees
• Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, and deductions
• Manage multi-state payroll compliance, including tax withholdings
• Handle certified payroll and prevailing wage reporting (if applicable)
• Maintain payroll records and ensure data accuracy in systems
• Collaborate with HR and accounting teams on employee changes and reporting
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner
