Job summary

Rodriguez Construction Group is seeking a detail oriented Payroll Administrator to manage the weekly payroll for all employees in Buffalo, NY. You will ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance while partnering with Finance, HR, and Operations.

The role requires 2–5 years of construction payroll experience, knowledge of prevailing wage regulations, and proficiency with UKG or Sage. Training and advancement opportunities are provided within a growing construction firm.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field preferred.
• 2–5 years of related experience.
• Construction industry payroll experience strongly preferred.
• Experience processing certified payroll for prevailing wage and public works projects strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of the Davis-Bacon Act, prevailing wage regulations, and certified payroll reporting requirements is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer and oversee the company’s weekly payroll process, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll for all employees.
• Review, audit, and validate employee time, payroll data, job cost allocations, and certified payroll information to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Manage certified payroll and prevailing wage compliance for federal, state, and public works projects, including union payroll requirements.
• Prepare payroll tax reports and assist with payroll tax filings as required.
• Maintain SOPs and assist with ERP system configuration and payroll process transitions.
