Job Description

General Description:

As a Technician Level I, you will assist in routine construction monitoring, field and/or laboratory tests. Your responsibilities include preparing and transporting samples and reports, and performing non-technical tasks and office duties under close supervision from higher-level technicians or supervisors.

Technicians of all levels must be physically capable of performing the duties described, including lifting 10 to 60 lbs. and transporting materials up to 200 lbs using a wheelbarrow, cart, or dolly. We expect all TWE employees to perform their duties safely, considering the safety of others at all times.

Essential Tasks:

  • Assist with sampling or testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, and other materials as directed.
  • Support field and laboratory personnel to complete tasks.
  • Transport equipment, specimens, or documents to field personnel, laboratories, clients, or other offices, and assist with equipment setup.
  • Maintain a clean work area.
  • Assist other technicians or professional staff with routine tasks.
  • Retain and apply the information provided to become a self-sufficient employee and grow within the company.
  • Support quality policies and procedures; maintain high standards of work quality and uphold TWE's reputation.
  • Adhere to TWE safety policies and procedures; participate in near-miss and safety audit programs to improve safety practices.
