Job description

Construction Materials Testing Technician, Level I

General Description: As a Technician, Level I, you will assist in routine construction monitoring, field and laboratory tests. You will prepare and transport samples and reports, and perform non-technical functions and office tasks under close supervision of higher-level technicians or supervisors.

Additional Details: Technicians of all levels are expected to be physically capable of performing duties, including lifting 10 to 60 lbs. and transporting materials up to 200 lbs in a wheelbarrow, cart, or dolly. Safety is a priority; employees must perform duties safely with consideration for others.

Essential Tasks

• Assist with sampling or testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, and other materials as directed.
• Support field and laboratory personnel to complete tasks.
• Transport equipment, specimens, or documents to relevant personnel and assist in equipment setup.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Assist other technicians or professional staff on routine tasks.
• Retain information provided to become a self-sufficient employee and grow with the company.
• Support quality policies and procedures; maintain high standards of work quality.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures, participating in safety programs.
