TSI Laboratories, Inc. is seeking an Experienced CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS TESTING TECHNICIAN II to perform field and laboratory testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel. Responsibilities include data entry, reporting, and ensuring safety and quality on projects in Texas (Houston, Austin, Victoria).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience or equivalent training.
• Experience with laptop use and Microsoft Word and Excel.
• ACI certification in Concrete Field-Testing Technician Grade I and Concrete Strength Testing Technician.
• Certified in radiation safety and Nuclear Density Gauge operation.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.

Responsibilities

• Perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials.
• Communicate with project manager, clients, and contractors regarding testing requirements and results.
• Transport samples to the laboratory and prepare data and reports.
• Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, and work areas.
• Follow safety rules and ensure quality standards on all projects.
• Assist higher level technicians on complex tasks.
