Job summary

Terracon is seeking a field technician to perform testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials on projects in Houston, TX. You will document findings, prepare reports, and communicate with project leadership while maintaining safety and equipment.

Required: high school diploma or equivalent, 1–2 years’ experience, MS Word/Excel, and a valid driver's license. Certifications like NICET/ICC/ASNT/ACI are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience or equivalent training.
• Experience with MS Word and Excel; valid driver’s license may be required.
• ACI/NICET/ICC/ASNT/ AWS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform field and laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials.
• Communicate results to project manager and clients accurately and promptly.
• Transport samples to the laboratory with proper documentation.
• Prepare data and reports for daily transmittal to the Terracon Project Manager.
• Maintain safety standards and quality across all projects.
