Job summary

ECS Limited is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician for our Long Beach team. No experience is required, as training is provided and certification fees are covered to support growth.

You will perform field activities including soils, aggregates, and concrete sampling and testing, collect data, and communicate with project managers to ensure quality and safety on site. Training will advance you toward CMT certifications and ASTM standards.

Qualifications

• No experience required; entry-level position with training.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Able to lift a minimum of 85 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license and insurance.
• Willing to develop understanding of CMT principles and ASTM standards.
• OSHA 10 certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Observe, test, and sample soils, aggregates, and concrete at field sites.
• Perform routine field tests and document results per standards.
• Collect data, perform calculations, and support drafting tasks as needed.
• Maintain daily communication with site contractors, technicians, and project managers.
• Assist with setup and maintenance of field equipment and safety procedures.
