WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

As a Construction Materials Testing Technician in the Sarasota, FL office, you will play an integral role in our organization's success. You will work independently and with our team on various land development and construction projects. Your key responsibilities include:

• Field observations at regional jobsites.
• Sampling and testing construction materials.
• Preparing accurate daily logs of inspections and test results for materials such as soil, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel.
• Communicating daily with Project Managers or Operations Managers regarding project progress and contractor communications.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

• Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and satisfactory driving record.
• Must meet additional pre-employment criteria.
• Ability to lift/move up to 60-80 pounds (samples, gauges, equipment).
• Ability to work outdoors in various climates and terrains.
• Attention to detail and safety adherence.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with tablets and MS Office.
• Basic math skills and measurement tool proficiency.
• Willingness to learn to interpret plans, specifications, and manuals.

Hiring preference given to experienced technicians with certifications such as ACI, NICET, WACEL, etc.
