Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Business Development Manager to own the market, manage the pipeline of opportunities, and close testing and inspection work with general contractors, owners, developers, and design firms.

You will collaborate with a seller-doer engineer to price and seal the technical side while you develop relationships, grow revenue, and drive strategy. Regular travel is expected, including to Sugar Land for planning.

Qualifications

• 5+ years selling professional or technical services to the construction industry.
• An existing network of contractors, owners, or design firms in the market of the posting.
• Disciplined pipeline habits: documented, forecastable, and honest.
• Comfortable talking specifications and schedules with a superintendent and contract terms with an owner.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a target list of contractors, owners, developers, and design firms.
• Own relationships end to end and manage the pursuit pipeline in the CRM.
• Qualify and pursue opportunities from first contact through proposal, negotiation, and signed agreement.
• Coordinate proposals with the engineering team: scope, pricing, qualifications, and follow-up.
• Represent the company at industry associations, pre-bid meetings, and client events.
• Report pipeline and results monthly.
