Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Business Development Manager to own the market and drive the pipeline from target accounts to signed testing and inspection work.

You will work with a seller-doer engineer pricing the technical side, while you focus on relationships, proposals, and closing deals. Expect regular local travel and occasional meetings at the Sugar Land HQ as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years selling professional or technical services to the construction industry—testing, inspection, engineering, equipment, or subcontracting.
• Existing network of contractors, owners, or design firms in the posting market.
• Disciplined pipeline habits: documented, forecastable, and honest.

Responsibilities

• Own the target list of contractors, owners, developers, and design firms; manage relationships end to end.
• Run the pursuit pipeline in the CRM from first contact to signed agreement; qualify and pursue deals.
• Coordinate proposals with the engineering team: scope, pricing, qualifications; follow-up.
• Represent the company at industry associations, pre-bid meetings, and client events; report pipeline monthly.
