Job summary

Luster National seeks Construction Managers to support large heavy civil programs, including highways, bridges, transit, airports, and water facilities. You’ll oversee a package or contracts from preconstruction to closeout, ensuring work complies with contract documents while managing cost, schedule, quality, and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, construction engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 10+ years of construction management experience for large and complex heavy-civil infrastructure projects.
• Experience overseeing contractor performance on behalf of an owner or agency, including field issue resolution.

Responsibilities

• Oversee contractor performance from preconstruction through closeout and ensure work aligns with plans and contract requirements.
• Administer contracts including submittals, RFIs, notices, and correspondence with audit-ready records.
• Evaluate change proposals and pricing for entitlement, cost impact and schedule impact.
• Review baseline and updated schedules for critical path and delays; quantify impacts.
• Coordinate inspections, materials testing, and QA staff to verify quantities and approvals before payment.
• Monitor safety and environmental compliance; elevate non-conforming conditions to resolution.
• Track cost, progress, and quantities against budget and schedule; forecast outcomes.
• Chair progress meetings, site walks, and resolution sessions with contractor, designer, and third parties.
