CMTA, a Legence company, is seeking a motivated Construction Management Intern/Co-op to support our construction team. This hands-on role offers exposure to pre-construction planning, project execution, and post-construction activities within commercial HVAC/mechanical systems.

Travel to job sites may be required. The ideal candidate is enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Mechanical Engineering, detail-oriented, and possesses strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of construction processes and mechanical/HVAC systems is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with project stakeholders; willingness to travel to job sites.

Responsabilités

• Pre-Construction Support: Review project drawings for scope, constructability, and cost-saving opportunities; assist in subcontractor selection and bid processes; track contract requirements and M&V specifications.
• Construction Phase: Assist with project scheduling and subcontractor coordination; compile safety documentation; gather and organize equipment submittals; assist with procurement and meeting notes; prepare weekly field reports and review subcontractor pay applications.
• Post-Construction Activities: Develop and organize closeout materials (O&M manuals, as-built docs); coordinate warranty registrations and factory start-ups; support final owner training and punch list completion.
