Job summary

CMTA, a Legence Company, is seeking a motivated Construction Management Intern/Co-op to support our construction team on commercial HVAC projects. This role offers hands-on experience in pre-construction planning, project coordination, and fieldwork, working closely with seasoned managers, engineers, and project teams.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a related bachelor's program, possess strong organizational and communication skills, and are willing to travel to job sites.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Basic understanding of construction processes and HVAC/mechanical systems.
• Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Construction: Review drawings for scope, constructability, and cost-saving opportunities; assist with subcontractor bid process and RFPs; track contract requirements and M&V specs.
• Construction Phase: Support scheduling and subcontractor coordination; help prepare safety docs; gather equipment submittals and assist in meetings; draft weekly field reports.
• Post-Construction: Organize closeout materials, O&M manuals, and as-built docs; assist with warranty registrations and owner training.
