Qualifications

• Enrolled in a college/university degree program or enrolled in a Co-op program, with minimum 1 year completed education
• Must be 18 years of age to work at a construction site
• Desire to work in construction management and learn about the industry

Responsibilities

• Support project team with meeting coordination, material tracking, file management, document control, and progress reporting
• Follow site signage and supervisor instructions
• Provide progress reports to supervisor and learn about construction management
• Relate academic knowledge to work activities
• Maintain professional relationships with employees, customers, clients, and subcontractors
• Attend training, meetings, and orientation
• Comply with safety protocols and wear PPE
• Assist with project start-up activities and support to Project Engineer/Superintendent/Manager
• Assist with RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and contract requirements
• Assist with preparation of estimates for changes in work from subcontractors
• Attend project site visits and observe construction activities
• Prepare correspondence with Architects/Engineers/vendors/subcontractors
• Coordinate with trades to track schedules
• Assist with safety program compliance
• Assist with quantity take-offs and studies for project items
• Distribute subcontractor proposals for delivery system
• Assist with project close out preparations
