Job summary

Turner Construction seeks a Intern/Co-Op to assist on active construction projects and in related departments. You will gain hands-on exposure to project management, preconstruction activities and coordination with subcontractors and vendors.

Candidates should be enrolled in an accredited degree program (Engineering/Architecture/CM) with minimal completed education, and demonstrate strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a college/university program or Co-op, with 1 year of education completed
• Desire to work in construction management and learn about the industry
• Professional verbal and written communication in English required
• Ability to read and understand written information
• Willingness to work standard hours and overtime as needed
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Assist on active construction projects or in preconstruction/estimating settings as needed
• Support the project team with meetings, material tracking, file management and progress reporting
• Learn construction management concepts and processes through hands-on tasks
• Maintain professional relationships with employees, customers, clients and subcontractors
• Participate in training, meetings and site orientation
• Other activities and duties as assigned
