A nationally recognized law firm in Tampa, FL seeks an experienced Construction Litigation Paralegal to support high-profile matters. The role requires a seasoned Florida paralegal adept at handling complex discovery, pleadings, and trial preparation in a fast-paced, document-intensive environment.

You will work closely with firm leadership and attorneys, manage case files and discovery, coordinate court filings, and assist with exhibits and witness materials.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of Florida law firm experience required.
  • Extensive Florida construction litigation experience required.
  • Experience supporting complex litigation and discovery matters required.
  • Experience working in a mid-sized or large law firm environment required.
  • Ability to support multiple attorneys simultaneously in a fast-paced litigation practice.

Responsibilities

  • Support all phases of construction litigation, commercial litigation, and complex civil litigation from intake through resolution.
  • Prepare pleadings, motions, discovery responses, correspondence, exhibits, privilege logs, and other litigation documents for attorney review.
  • Manage complex discovery, large-scale document productions, litigation databases, case files, deadlines, and court requirements.
  • Coordinate Florida court filings, service requirements, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, expert communications, and vendor support.
  • Assist trial teams with exhibit preparation, witness materials, trial notebooks, document organization, and overall trial support.
  • Communicate professionally with attorneys, clients, experts, courts, opposing counsel, and internal team members.

Job Summary

A nationally recognized full-service law firm is seeking an experienced Construction Litigation Paralegal for a direct hire opportunity in Tampa, FL. This role is ideal for a seasoned Florida litigation paralegal with extensive construction litigation experience who is ready to support complex, high-profile matters in a sophisticated law firm environment.

The Construction Litigation Paralegal will work closely with firm leadership, including the Practice Group Leader, Office Managing Partner, attorneys, and litigation teams. This is a strong long-term career opportunity for a proactive, detail-oriented legal professional who enjoys document-intensive litigation, complex discovery, trial preparation, and collaboration with experienced attorneys.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support all phases of construction litigation, commercial litigation, and complex civil litigation matters from case intake through resolution.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary range: $75,000 to $90,000 per year, depending on experience.

Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Support complex construction litigation matters involving discovery, document productions, trial preparation, and case management.
  • Prepare pleadings, motions, correspondence, exhibits, privilege logs, and litigation materials for attorney review.
  • Coordinate Florida court filings, deadlines, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and communications with case stakeholders.
  • Manage litigation databases, document management systems, and large volumes of case materials.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Florida law firm experience required.
  • Extensive Florida construction litigation experience required.
  • Experience supporting complex litigation and discovery matters required.
  • Experience working in a mid-sized or large law firm environment required.
  • Ability to support multiple attorneys simultaneously in a fast-paced litigation practice.
  • Strong knowledge of Florida court procedures, filing requirements, litigation deadlines, and civil litigation processes.
  • Experience with trial preparation, document productions, exhibit management, and privilege logs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, document management systems, and billing software.
  • Relativity experience required.
  • Strong written communication, proofreading, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy under pressure.
  • Professional references will be verified prior to interview consideration.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Florida Registered Paralegal certification preferred.
  • Experience with construction defect claims, delay claims, performance claims, contract disputes, property disputes, development disputes, arbitration, and mediation matters.
  • Prior experience supporting attorneys in a large law firm or sophisticated litigation practice.
  • Technologically savvy, proactive, highly organized, and interested in building a long-term career with the firm.
