Job Summary

A growing legal services firm in Orlando, FL is seeking a Business Litigation Attorney for a direct hire opportunity. This role is ideal for a litigation associate with 3 to 5 years of experience who is ready to manage cases with greater independence, work on sophisticated commercial disputes, and build a long-term legal career. This position offers exposure to complex litigation in state and federal courts, business court matters, commercial disputes, and collection-related litigation. Key Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload of business and commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution.


• Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, discovery requests, responses, and other litigation documents.


• Develop case strategies, analyze legal issues, and prepare clients for key litigation milestones.


• Conduct and defend depositions involving fact witnesses, expert witnesses, and business stakeholders.


• Appear in state and federal court for hearings, conferences, oral arguments, and related proceedings.


• Serve as a client-facing attorney by providing case updates, legal risk assessments, and strategic guidance.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary range: $120,000 to $140,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Manage commercial litigation matters involving breach of contract, partnership disputes, business torts, and related business disputes.


• Prepare complex pleadings, motions to dismiss, summary judgment motions, appellate briefs, and other litigation filings.


• Develop and execute discovery strategies, including written discovery, document review, e-discovery, and depositions.


• Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, conferences, arbitrations, and trial preparation activities.


• 3 to 5 years of litigation experience required.


• Strong commercial or business litigation background preferred.


• Experience independently managing cases or significant portions of litigation matters.


• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.


• Experience with pleadings, motions, discovery, depositions, and court appearances.


• Comfortable appearing in state and federal court.


• Excellent client communication, relationship-building, and case strategy skills.


• Highly motivated, organized, and capable of working independently while collaborating with other attorneys.


• Interest in long-term professional growth and developing a book of business.

Preferred Qualifications

• Complex bankruptcy litigation experience is a plus.


• Interest in business development and building a personal client base.


• Experience participating in trials, arbitrations, or significant evidentiary hearings.


• Prior exposure to business court, complex commercial litigation, or high-value commercial disputes.
