Job summary

Texas Materials, a CRH Company, is seeking a Construction Laborer to support paving and construction projects. The role involves varying duties, from shoveling and raking to operating power tools and assisting with traffic control.

Candidates should be able to read and follow instructions, work in a team, and pass standard safety and background checks as required by OSHA/MSHA policies. The position may require travel and irregular hours.

Qualifications

• High‑school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous related experience in construction.
• Must pass pre‑employment physical, drug screen, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe work environment per safety policies and procedures.
• Assist crew with shoveling, raking, wheelbarrows and backing trucks into the paver.
• Signal operators for alignment, movement, and material handling.
• Operate small power tools such as jack hammers as required.
• Lift, carry, and move materials and supplies.
• Assist with placement, moving, and dismantling of signs, barricades, cones, and other traffic control devices.
