Job summary

Pramira is seeking a Laborer to join its outside plant team. You will work under the Construction Foreman, ensuring safety, quality, and production standards while assisting with construction tasks.

The role involves preparing sites, handling and installing cables and conduits, operating tools, and maintaining equipment. Candidates should be physically capable and able to follow directions and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old with a valid driver license and health card.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to work cooperatively with coworkers.
• Must be able to perform heavy physical tasks.
• Familiarity with hand and pneumatic tools.
• Assist in installation of conduit, hand holes, vaults, manholes and cable.
• Must pass drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and clean construction sites to remove hazards.
• Assist crew with construction tasks as required.
• Operate compressors, jackhammers and other equipment safely.
• Install pedestals and vaults as directed.
• Move tools, materials, and equipment safely.
• Dig trenches and manage earthwork as needed.
• Mix compounds for cleaning or surface protection.
• Support conduit and cable placement and handling.
• Maintain and inspect equipment.
• Complete company documentation.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and standards.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Laborer is a member of our outside plant division, is directed by the Construction Foreman, accountable to ensure accuracy related to tasks and follow all policies and procedures related to safety, quality and production.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards


• Assist crew members with construction work as required


• Operate compressors and missiles


• Install pedestals and vaults


• Load, transport, and unload tools, materials, and equipment in a safe manner


• Dig trenches and remove, fill, or compact earth


• Mix ingredients to create compounds for covering or cleaning surfaces


• Assist with the handling and placement of conduit and cables


• Maintain equipment


• Perform site clean-up


• Complete all required Company documentation


• Other duties as assigned


• Must always comply with proper safety standards/procedures and work practices while operating equipment according to Pramira’s safety standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be 18 years old, have a valid driver license with clean driving record & health card


• Self-motivated with ability to following oral and written instructions


• Demonstrated ability to interact effectively and cooperatively with coworkers


• Must have the ability to exert heavy physical effort, lift heavy physical objects, kneel, couch, balance, climb or crawl


• Frequently use hand tools, pneumatic tools (tampers, compactors, 60 & 90lb jackhammer, chipping hammer)


• Must have the ability to assist in the installation of conduit, hand holes, vaults, manholes and cable.


• Must pass a Drug Test & Background Check
