Job summary

Pramira is hiring a Concrete Laborer in Ontario, CA. The role supports outside plant construction, performing site prep, concrete finishes, and material handling under the guidance of a Construction Foreman.

The job requires at least 1 year of concrete experience, physical stamina, and strict safety adherence. Benefits include health, vision, 401(k), PTO, referral programs, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of concrete experience.
• Self-motivated with ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Demonstrated ability to interact effectively and cooperatively with coworkers.
• Must have the ability to exert heavy physical effort and lift heavy objects.
• Must pass a Drug Test & Background Check.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate hazards.
• Assist crew members with construction work as required.
• Use hand and power tools to finish concrete surfaces.
• Smooth and level concrete surfaces with trowels and other tools.
• Mix, pour, and spread concrete mixtures.
• Install anchors, forms, and other fixtures in concrete.
• Check the quality of the finished product.
• Load, transport, and unload tools, materials, and equipment safely.
• Dig trenches and manage earth as needed.
• Assist with conduit and cable handling and placement.
• Perform site clean-up and complete required documentation.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Concrete Laborer is a member of our outside plant division, is directed by the Construction Foreman, accountable to ensure accuracy related to tasks and follow all policies and procedures related to safety, quality and production.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards
• Assist crew members with construction work as required
• Use hand and power tools to finish concrete surfaces.
• Smooth and level concrete surfaces with trowels and other tools.
• Mix, pour, and spread concrete mixtures.
• Install anchors, forms, and other fixtures in concrete.
• Check the quality of the finished product.
• Load, transport, and unload tools, materials, and equipment in a safe manner
• Dig trenches and remove, fill, or compact earth
• Mix ingredients to create compounds for covering or cleaning surfaces
• Assist with the handling and placement of conduit and cables
• Perform site clean-up
• Complete all required Company documentation
• Other duties as assigned
• Must always comply with proper safety standards/procedures and work practices while operating equipment according to Pramira’s safety standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be 18 years old, have a valid driver license with clean driving record
• 1+ years of concrete experience
• Self-motivated with ability to following oral and written instructions
• Demonstrated ability to interact effectively and cooperatively with coworkers
• Must have the ability to exert heavy physical effort, lift heavy physical objects, kneel, couch, balance, climb or crawl
• Frequently use hand tools, pneumatic tools (tampers, compactors, 60 & 90lb jackhammer, chipping hammer)
• Must have the ability to assist in the installation of conduit, hand holes, vaults, manholes and cable.
• Must pass a Drug Test & Background Check
