Job summary

Pramira is seeking a Laborer to join its fiber division in California. You will support field crews, prep sites, and assist with conduit and cable installation under the Construction Foreman to ensure safety, quality and production.

Essential duties include inspecting conduits, preparing sites, lifting and transporting materials, and maintaining documentation. Candidates must be 18+, have a valid driver's license, be able to lift heavy objects, and pass drug and background checks.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old and have a valid driver license.
• Self-motivated with ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Demonstrated ability to interact effectively and cooperatively with coworkers.
• Must have the ability to exert heavy physical effort, lift heavy objects, kneel, crouch, balance, climb or crawl.

Responsibilities

• Inspect/test the installed underground conduit to ensure it is clear and usable before fiber installation.
• Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate hazards.
• Assist crew members with construction work as required.
• Operate compressors and missiles.
• Load, transport, and unload tools, materials, and equipment safely.
• Dig trenches and manage earth movements.
• Assist with conduit and cable handling and placement.
• Complete all required company documentation.
• Adhere to safety standards/procedures at all times.

Job Description

The Laborer is a member of our fiber division is directed by the Construction Foreman, accountable to ensure accuracy related to tasks and follow all policies and procedures related to safety, quality and production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inspect/test the installed underground conduit to make sure it is clear and usable before fiber installation.
• Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards
• Assist crew members with construction work as required
• Operate compressors and missiles
• Load, transport, and unload tools, materials, and equipment in a safe manner
• Dig trenches and remove, fill, or compact earth
• Mix ingredients to create compounds for covering or cleaning surfaces
• Assist with the handling and placement of conduit and cables
• Perform site clean-up
• Complete all required Company documentation
• Other duties as assigned
• Must always comply with proper safety standards/procedures and work practices while operating equipment according to Pramira’ s safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be 18years old, have a valid driver license with clean driving record
• Self-motivated with ability to following oral and written instructions
• Demonstrated ability to interact effectively and cooperatively with coworkers
• Must have the ability to exert heavy physical effort, lift heavy physical objects, kneel, crouch, balance, climb or crawl
• Frequently use hand tools, pneumatic tools (tampers, compactors, 60 & 90lb jackhammer, chipping hammer)
• Must have the ability to assist in the installation of conduit, hand holes, vaults, manholes and cable.
• Must pass a Drug Test & Background Check
