Job summary

Mortenson in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Laborer I to assist with the preparation, handling, and supplying of materials for construction crews. The role includes loading/unloading equipment, erecting scaffolding, leveling ground, and performing concrete work.

The position requires completion of a two-year apprenticeship and experience in construction is preferred. You will work closely with diverse teams and adhere to safety and quality standards across tasks.

Qualifications

• Two-year apprenticeship completed.
• Experience in construction preferred.
• Ability to work with tools and equipment listed above; lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Strong teamwork, positive attitude, and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload equipment.
• Erect and dismantle scaffolding (5X7X16) and staging.
• Level ground for scaffolding.
• Tend mortar and grout.
• Lift, unload, move, set, and shovel mortar and grout between wheelbarrows and buckets.
• General cleanup and debris removal, sweeping, washing, unloading or burning debris.
• Place, push, pull, and shovel concrete.
• Vibrate concrete.
• Build relationships with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• All other duties as assigned.
