Job summary

Hensel Phelps in Windsor, CO is seeking a Laborer to provide critical support on construction sites. You will assist form carpenters, concrete operations, masons, and other trades, with safety as the top priority.

This is a safety-sensitive, physically demanding role requiring reliability and a proactive mindset. Responsibilities include site preparation, material handling, concrete placement assistance, moving frames, loading tools, keeping the site organized and secure.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Follow safety and health program practices.
• Initiative and ability to ask questions.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Employees must provide their own safety footwear.
• Effective communication with coworkers and stakeholders.
• Strong mathematical reasoning and quantitative skills.
• Reliable and punctual with consistent attendance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare areas for concrete placement and floor slab grading.
• This work involves shoveling for extended periods of time.
• Lift, move and install form panels and assist in placement.
• Handle the concrete bucket from a crane to the placement area.
• Spread and muck concrete to ensure even surfaces.
• Strip forms after curing and transport them for storage.
• Assist concrete finishers with power trowels and screeds.
• Support masons by handling cement, lime, sand, and grout bags.
• Transport door frames from storage to work areas; assist in setting.
• Load, unload, and identify building materials and tools.
• Distribute site materials according to plans and keep the site tidy.
• Promote a safe work environment and secure the site daily.
