Job summary

Hensel Phelps is seeking a Laborer to support form carpenters, concrete operations, masons, and ironworkers on our projects. This safety-sensitive role involves manual preparation, material handling, and site housekeeping to keep work progressing smoothly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Follow safety practices in accordance with company program.
• Must take initiative and ask questions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Provide own safety footwear.
• Must communicate effectively with coworkers and stakeholders.
• Strong mathematical reasoning and quantitative skills.
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare areas for concrete placement and perform fine grading.
• Assemble and place concrete form panels and assist in their installation.
• Move concrete buckets and spread concrete evenly in slabs.
• Strip and transport concrete forms after curing.
• Assist finishers with moving power trowels and screeds.
• Support masons with handling cement, lime, sand, and grout.
• Help carpenters with moving and placing door frames.
• Load/unload and distribute building materials and tools on site.
• Contribute to a safe jobsite by securing materials and addressing hazards.
