Job summary

Huntington Ingalls Industries, Inc. in Newport News is seeking a Construction Supervisor to coordinate and supervise all aspects of the construction process for the AOR program.

You will define the scope, goals, and deliverables to support build strategy and event schedules, ensuring work is performed as scheduled within contract specifications. Responsibilities include managing cost performance, resolving design and scheduling issues, and performing inspections.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 3 years of Construction Supervisor 1 experience, or 2 years CS1 + 2 years planning/production control, or High School + 6 years production supervisor experience, or BS/Apprentice + 4 years exempt related experience, or 3 years Military E-6 and above.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise all aspects of the construction process for AOR, including defining scope, goals and deliverables.
• Manage project expectations with team members and stakeholders to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
• Identify and expedite resolution of design, material, grouping, scheduling and cost issues that affect critical path.
• Assess risks and develop contingency plans; conduct various inspections and document discrepancies.
