Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage a book of business, retain clients, and support new business. You will coordinate daily admin and customer service tasks, resolve complex issues, and ensure accuracy.

Ideal candidates have 3-5 years in account management or 5+ years in insurance, active P&C license, and strong MS Office skills. Hybrid work (1 day in NY office or fully remote for ETZ/CST) with on-site as needed.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of account management experience or 5+ years in insurance.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Active Property & Casualty licensing; CIC preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent customer service, communication, multitasking, and organization.
• Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring retention and supporting new business.
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities.
• Resolve complex issues, ensure no errors or omissions.
• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Monitor policy expirations and renewals; conduct client submissions.
• Negotiate coverages and present proposals; manage receivables.
• Maintain agency management systems and data accuracy.
• Communicate workload status and issues to the account team.
• Deliver excellent service and proactively anticipate needs.
