Job summary

Insurance Office of America seeks an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage a book of business, retain clients, and support new growth. The role involves coordinating daily admin tasks, service requests, renewals, billing and coverage analysis, while maintaining data accuracy across agency systems.

The ideal candidate has 3-5 years in account management or 5+ years in insurance, active P&C licensing (CIC preferred), and strong communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Active property & casualty licensing; CIC or equivalent preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring account retention and supporting new business.
• Coordinate day‑to‑day administrative and customer service activities, resolving complex issues.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Renewals: conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Accounts Receivable: monitor delinquent accounts and collect balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms, ensuring data accuracy.
