Job summary

The Walsh Group - Walsh Construction & Archer Western is seeking an HSE Manager for a federal construction project in Tacoma, WA. This role oversees site-specific EHS plans, inspections, investigations, and training to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

The ideal candidate brings CHST certification, a Bachelor’s degree in safety or related field, and at least 5 years of EHS experience on construction projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• CHST (Construction Health & Safety Technician) certification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction EHS field.
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, problem solving and time-management skills.
• Some travel required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement site-specific EHS plans.
• Coordinate subcontractor EHS protocols and audits.
• Conduct on-site EHS audits and inspections.
• Investigate accidents and complete incident reporting.
• Provide EHS training and new hire orientation.
• Manage Drug-Free Workplace Policy testing.
• Provide weekly EHS updates to leadership.
