Job summary

The Walsh Group, Ltd. seeks a Construction HSE Manager to lead site EHS plans, inspections, and regulatory compliance for Southern California projects, with travel to other locations by car. Responsible for safety programs, incident investigations, drug-free workplace, and weekly EHS updates.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in safety or related field, CHST certification, and 5+ years in construction EHS. Salary is $110,000–$140,000 with potential bonus and full benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Civil Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent.
• CHST (Construction Health & Safety Technician) Certification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction EHS field.
• Excellent communication skills, critical thinking and problem solving abilities, and ability to prioritize, organize and manage time.
• Knowledge of regulations and standards as well as hazard recognition and injury management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an effective site-specific EHS plan with Project Manager and management team.
• Coordinate subcontractor EHS protocols and vendor/owner personnel safety on projects.
• Conduct quarterly on-site EHS audits and ensure regulatory and company compliance.
• Perform accident investigations and ensure proper reporting.
• Provide EHS training including new hire orientation programs and administer SPAT processes.
