Job summary

The Walsh Group - Walsh Construction & Archer Western in Mount Pleasant, WI is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead site-specific health, safety and environmental programs. You will develop and implement EHS plans, coordinate audits, investigations and training, and ensure compliance with regulations for all project activities.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in safety or related field, 5+ years in construction EHS, and strong communication skills with the ability to manage multiple

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Civil Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent.
• CHST (Construction Health & Safety Technician) Certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction EHS field.
• Excellent communication skills, critical thinking and problem solving abilities, and ability to prioritize, organize and manage time.
• Some travel required.
• Required to stand, sit, walk, and/or climb stairs or ladders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an effective site-specific EHS plan, while adhering to all corporate, divisional, and regional EHS programs.
• Coordinate subcontractor EHS protocols and audits to eliminate hazards and minimize risks.
• Conduct on-site EHS audits and ensure regulatory compliance and reporting.
• Perform accident investigations and incident reporting for project management review.
• Provide training on EHS requirements and coordination of new hire orientation programs.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Civil Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent
