Job summary

Walbridge is seeking an HR Specialist for a long-term construction project. You will champion Walbridge culture, manage HR processes, advise staff and management, and help build positive employee relations on site.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in HR or related field with 3–5 years HR experience, proficiency in HRIS and MS Office, and travel ~10%. Work location is a project near Van Buren Township, MI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related field; 3–5 years HR experience.
• Proven expertise in a specific HR specialty area (e.g., recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration).
• Proficiency in HR information systems, databases, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint), and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Champion Walbridge culture of inclusion and promote strong working relationships.
• Provide guidance and maintain compliance with EEO, labor classifications, and OFCCP requirements.
• Partner with on-site project supervisors, facilitate Talent Acquisition, and support the corporate HR team.
• Provide oversight of new team member programs, health & wellness initiatives, training, postings and signage, and substance abuse testing process.
• Lead investigations and resolve team member relations matters promptly and effectively.
