Job summary

Walbridge is seeking a Human Resource Specialist for a state-of-the-art construction project. You will apply your HR expertise to champion our culture, manage HR processes, and advise staff and management, fostering positive employee relations on site near Van Buren Township, MI.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of HR experience, with proficiency in HRIS, MS Office, and data analysis. Travel up to 10% is expected as you partner with site supervisors and the corporate HR team

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in HR, IO psychology, or related field with 3–5 years HR experience.
Proven expertise in a specific HR specialty area (recruitment, employee relations, benefits).
Proficiency with HRIS, databases, MS Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint), and data analysis tools.
Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and procedures.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive issues with discretion.
Excellent time management, organization, and thrive in fast-paced environments.
Willingness to travel ~10%.

Responsibilities

Champion Walbridge culture of inclusion and promote strong working relationships.
Provide guidance and ensure compliance with EEO, labor classifications, OFCCP.
Partner with on-site supervisors to facilitate Talent Acquisition and support HR team.
Oversee new team member programs, health & wellness initiatives, training and postings.
Lead investigations and resolve employee relations matters promptly and effectively.
