Job summary

Walbridge is seeking a Human Resource Specialist for a state-of-the-art construction project near Van Buren Township, MI. You will champion our culture, manage HR processes, and advise staff and management to foster a positive work environment.

The role focuses on employee relations, compliance with EEO and OFCCP, and collaboration with on-site supervisors to support Talent Acquisition, onboarding, and training on a long-term project, with travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field and 3-5 years HR experience.
• Proven expertise in an HR specialty area (e.g., recruitment, employee relations, benefits).
• Proficiency with HRIS, databases, MS Office, and data analysis tools.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive issues with discretion.
• Strong time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel; travel estimated at 10%.

Responsibilities

• Champion Walbridge culture and promote inclusive relationships.
• Provide guidance and ensure compliance with EEO, labor classifications, OFCCP.
• Partner with on-site supervisors to support Talent Acquisition and HR processes.
• Oversee new team member programs, health & wellness initiatives, training, and postings.
• Lead investigations and resolve employee relations matters promptly.
