Job summary

Walbridge is seeking a Human Resource Specialist for a long-term construction project near Van Buren Township, MI. The role supports company culture, manages HR processes, and serves as a trusted advisor to staff and management to foster positive employee relations and a productive work environment.

You will guide EEO/OFCCP compliance, work with on-site supervisors on talent acquisition, and oversee programs related to onboarding, wellness, training, and labor postings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a related field, plus 3–5 years HR experience.
• Proven expertise in a specific HR specialty area (e.g., recruitment, team member relations, benefits administration).
• Proficiency in HR information systems, databases, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint), and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Champion Walbridge culture of inclusion and promote strong working relationships.
• Provide guidance and ensure compliance with EEO, labor classifications, and OFCCP requirements.
• Partner with on-site project supervisors, facilitate Talent Acquisition, and support the corporate HR team.
• Provide oversight of new team member programs, health & wellness initiatives, training, postings, and testing processes.
• Lead investigations and resolve team member relations matters promptly.
