Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Business Development Manager to own the market strategy for general contractors, owners, developers, and design firms. You will build the pipeline, manage relationships end to end, and close deals with a base salary plus commission on collected revenue.

You will work alongside a seller-doer engineer to price and seal the technical side while you cultivate clients, track bids, and expand testing and inspection work across projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years selling professional or technical services to construction.
• Existing network of contractors, owners, or design firms.
• Disciplined, forecastable pipeline management.
• Comfort discussing specs and terms with superintendents and owners.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a target list of contractors, owners, developers, and design firms in your market.
• Own relationships end to end and track permits, bid boards, and project announcements.
• Qualify and pursue opportunities; run the pursuit pipeline from first contact to signed agreement.
• Coordinate proposals with engineering: scope, pricing, qualifications, and follow-up.
• Represent the company at industry associations, pre-bid meetings, and client events.
• Report pipeline and results monthly.
