Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Business Development Manager to own the market relationships with general contractors, owners, developers, and design firms. You will manage the pipeline, develop proposals, and work with a seller-doer engineer on pricing and technical scope.

You will travel locally, build a target list, and drive opportunities from first contact through signed agreements. The role offers a base salary with uncapped commission based on collected revenue.

Qualifications

• 5+ years selling professional or technical services to the construction industry (testing, inspection, engineering, equipment, or subcontracting).
• Existing network of contractors, owners, or design firms in the posting market.
• Disciplined pipeline habits: documented, forecastable, and honest.
• Comfortable discussing specifications and schedules with superintendents and owners.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a target list of contractors, owners, developers, and design firms in your market.
• Own relationships end to end and track permits, bid boards, and project announcements.
• Qualify and pursue opportunities; run the pursuit pipeline in the CRM from first contact through proposal and signed agreement.
• Coordinate proposals with the engineering team: scope, pricing, qualifications, and follow-up.
• Represent the company at industry associations, pre-bid meetings, and client events.
• Report pipeline and results monthly.
