Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Business Development Manager to own and grow a market, focusing on relationships with general contractors, owners, developers, and design firms.

You will work with a seller-doer engineer who prices and seals the technical side; your role is the pipeline, the close, and the client relationships with regular travel. Base salary plus commission on collected revenue from accounts developed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years selling professional or technical services to the construction industry.
• Existing network of contractors, owners, or design firms in the posting market.
• Disciplined forecastable pipeline with honest reporting.
• Comfort discussing specifications and terms with superintendents and owners.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a target list of contractors, owners, developers, and design firms.
• Own relationships end to end and track permits, bid boards, and project announcements.
• Qualify and pursue opportunities; run pipeline from first contact to signed agreement.
• Coordinate proposals with the engineering team: scope, pricing, qualifications, follow-up.
• Represent the company at industry associations, pre-bid meetings, and client events.
• Report pipeline and results monthly.
