Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Business Development Manager to own the market by building relationships with general contractors, owners, developers, and design firms. You will manage the pipeline, coordinate with an engineer for pricing, and drive proposals from first contact to signed agreements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years selling professional or technical services to the construction industry (testing, inspection, engineering, equipment, or subcontracting).
• An existing network of contractors, owners, or design firms in the posting market.
• Disciplined pipeline habits: documented, forecastable, and honest.
• Comfortable discussing specs and schedules with a superintendent and contract terms with an owner.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a target list of contractors, owners, developers, and design firms in your market.
• Own relationships end to end and track permits, bids, and project announcements.
• Manage the pursuit pipeline from first contact through proposal, negotiation, and signed agreement.
• Coordinate proposals with the engineering team: scope, pricing, qualifications, and follow-up.
• Represent the company at industry events and report pipeline monthly.
