Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Business Development Manager to own relationships with general contractors, owners, developers, and design firms. You’ll manage the pipeline, pursue opportunities, and close deals with an engineer pricing the technical scope.

Expect base salary plus commission on revenue from accounts you develop, with travel to client sites and the Sugar Land HQ as needed. High emphasis on relationships and forecastable pipeline.

Qualifications

• 5+ years selling professional or technical services to the construction industry.
• An existing network of contractors, owners, or design firms in the market of the posting.
• Disciplined pipeline habits: documented, forecastable, and honest.
• Comfortable talking specifications and schedules with a superintendent and contract terms with an owner.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a target list of contractors, owners, developers, and design firms.
• Own relationships end to end; track permits, bid boards and project announcements.
• Coordinate proposals with the engineering team: scope, pricing, qualifications, follow-up.
• Represent the company at industry associations and client events; report pipeline monthly.
• Run the pursuit pipeline in the CRM from first contact to signed agreement.
