Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Business Development Manager to own the market of general contractors, owners, developers, and design firms. You’ll manage the pipeline, pursue opportunities, and close deals with a seller-doer engineer pricing the technical side and you handling relationships.

Base salary runs $85,000 to $115,000 with commission on collected revenue from accounts you develop; travel locally and to Sugar Land for planning is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years selling professional or technical services to the construction industry.
• Existing network of contractors, owners, or design firms in the posting market.
• Disciplined pipeline habits: forecastable and honest.
• Experience discussing specifications and schedules with a superintendent and owner.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a target list of contractors, owners, developers, and design firms in your market.
• Own relationships end to end and manage the pursuit pipeline in the CRM.
• Coordinate proposals with engineering: scope, pricing, qualifications, and follow-up.
• Represent the company at industry associations, pre-bid meetings, and client events.
• Report pipeline and results monthly.
